Nomad — P2P Distributed Storage Network
Master's thesis: a peer-to-peer distributed storage network for Massively Multiplayer Virtual Environments. Voronoi-based grouping, dynamic peer migration, and pluggable storage backends (H2, RocksDB). gomad is the Go reimplementation.
WeGreen Initiative
Co-created the WeGreen initiative, proposing changes to default transfer storage duration — a 15% reduction in total storage costs that contributed to WeTransfer's 78% drop in server emissions while the business kept growing. Featured in an AWS sustainability case study.
Content-Scanning Rewrite
Led the re-implementation of a legacy Crystal-based content-scanning service — responsible for 40% of total cluster usage — into Golang, cutting Kubernetes cluster usage by nearly 20% with significant cost savings.
